Well educated and trained engineers in the field of power engineering is highly desirable by all electric power companies. Teaching power engineering subjects in an efficient way is a challenging task for university instructors of engineering schools. The subject power system analysis and design is one of the major undergraduate components in electrical engineering courses. Computer applications in this subject yield significant insight into a complete electric power system. To help students better understand the subject, a computerised program has been developed to illustrate the analytical procedure of power system. The program is used for teaching the subject from an analysis and design point of view as well as for explaining the structure and operation of the system. The approach is to give students more insight into the system while
teaming, analysing and designing the system. The program is available in internet for flexible delivery. Students without necessarily being physically present in power laboratory can use the program which has been developed within a personal computer environment.
