چکیده:

In the biological treatment of waste water, the organic matters obtined as a result of decomposition by microorganism, is largely bound in the form a mass of microorganism that contain of water. Decreasing the amount of water retained in the dewatered solids leads decreased transport and disposal costs. In sludge dewatering applications, synthetic polymers (floculants and coagulants) are typically used. Enzymes are proteins and are known to be environmentally friendly. The use of enzymes in combination with synthetic polymers in dewatering applications, can help reduce the amount of synthetic polymers used while achiving comparable or improved performance compared to use of polymer alone.
