One of the initial steps in disease diagnosis is identification and detection of components of biological
signals. Detection of QRS complex and R peak in ECG, as one of the most useful biological signals, have very important diagnosis roles. Hence, many methods have been proposed, having drawbacks and benefits. In this paper, by design of Complex Morlet Wavelet and Complex Frequency B-Spline Wavelet and then linearly combining them, a novel approach, HCW, with satisfactory trade-off between accuracy and rapidity has been proposed. By implementing the proposed method on the clinically recorded signals from 40 patients, we reached a recognition accuracy of 99.7%. Finally, our results have been compared with the results of proposed method of Schuck &Wisbeck.
