چکیده:

Guanine is one of the important components found in deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA). The electrochemical oxidation mechanisms of guanine were investigated along with their relevance to oxidative degradation of nucleic acids in mutagenesis, carcinogenesis and on aging. Guanine (G) can be easily oxidized into nucleic acid, as indicated by the lowest values of one electron redox potentials [1]. Measurement of the electron-transfer of guanine in solution and the oxidation of the substitution guanosine (Gs) are important and helpful in understanding the oxidation processes of DNA [2,4]. In this work, a modified glassy carbon electrode using carbon nanoparticles (CNPs) nafion doped was applied for voltammetric detection of guanine in the presence of guanosine
