چکیده:

A new method for determination of the optimum vehicle wheel profile for wear is presented. Rolling radius difference (Δr) function versus the lateral displacement (Y) has been chosen as the main criterion for evaluation of the objective function. Numerical optimization routines have been employed in generation of various profiles in search for the optimum one. Having reached the optimized wheel profile, in this case, dynamic performance of MD36 passenger truck using the obtained optimized profile is carried out on a sample track as a final performance test using ADAMS/Rail commercial software.
