چکیده:

The new synthesized ligand {DADMBTZ = 2,2′-diamino-5,s’-dimethyl-4,4′- bithiazole). which is reported in this text, is used for preparing the crystals of new complex of Zn(lI), [Zn(DADMBTZ)3](N03)2.CH30H. The characterization was 13 done by IR, ‘H, C NMR spectroscopy. elemental analysis and single crystal X-ray determination. In reaction with DADMBTZ, zinc(1I) show different characterization. The versatility of this ligand, involving the change of its configuration, suggests that different factors. such as electronic effects, play essential roles in determining the formation of the metal complexes and their related biological properties. The nitrogen atoms of NH2 group of the ligand are not coordinated. The Zinc compound to have a greater tendency to stay as a tetra -coordinated complex. In this complex. one of the DADMBTZ ligands act as a monodentate ligand to form the five coordinated Zn(I1) complex, giving a distorted trigonal bipyramidal geometry around the metal. This makes 2-D networks via N-H 0 , 0-H 0 and N-H N hydrogen bonds.
