چکیده:

In this study, a new configuration is suggested for extra dry instrument air production in an existing plant.
Pressure swing adsorption columns are used to dehumidify air to the dew point of -20°C. But plant
requirement is dry air with dew point of -70°C in order to use it in the analyzers. To satisfy this demand, the
use of an adsorption bed with two layers of Alumina followed with Zeolite 4A is suggested and investigated.
According to the results of simulation, the suggested configuration with no major change in the plant can
fulfill the plant requirements.
